about.
I’m (he/him) a New York-based musician and audio engineer working on projects in film, TV, and theatre—and anything else that makes sound.
Depending on the project that means assuming a variety of different roles—sometimes several at once: composer, orchestrator, copyist, music director/supervisor, producer, performer, mix/master engineer, sound designer, etc.
I’ve worked on shows including New York, New York (Broadway), Classic Stage Company’s ASSASSINS (Off-Broadway Show, Broadway Concert), Theatre for a New Audience’s (Off-Broadway, in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company) Timon of Athens, Goodman Theatre’s (Chicago) The Penelopiad, Paramount Theatre’s (Chicago) world premiere of August Rush, and Goodspeed Opera House’s (Connecticut) world premiere of The 12. I’ve also worked on workshops presented by New York Stage and Film, Roundabout Theatre Company, and Chicago's American Theatre Company, among others. Also for the stage, I mixed and mastered Eric Dietz’s The Dark Dances, which accompanied the world premiere of Robert Mark Dance Company’s Dawned, a contemporary dance piece.
In addition to my work in theatre, I’ve also worked in film and television as an orchestrator and producer including the upcoming Kiss of the Spider Woman starring Jennifer Lopez and Diego Luna, Dreamworks Animation’s Spirit & Friends, The 76th Tony Awards, Cellar Door (starring Laurence Fishburne and Jordana Brewster), Every Breath You Take (starring Michelle Monaghan and Casey Affleck), and Inheritance (starring Lily Collins and Simon Pegg).
I’ve also worked in video games, as well, including composing the music to DC Dual Force, a collectible card game from CCG Lab featuring the heroes and comics of the DC Comics Universe.
I’ve also served as a Guest Artist at the University of Michigan, my alma mater, as a music director and composer, and outside my creative work, I’m also an active soloist and chorister with performances at venues that include The White House, New York’s Beacon Theatre and The Town Hall, Detroit’s Fox Theatre and Comerica Park, and many others.
I also helped engineer the back end of dynascore from Wonder Inventions, an early entrant into the AI music space, I’ve also written additional music, produced, and mixed music for Does This Murder Make Me Look Gay?!, a podcast from iHeart Radio starring Michael Urie, Frankie Grande, Douglas Sills, Cheyenne Jackson, Lea DeLaria, Sean Patrick Doyle, Seth Rudetsky, Lea Salonga, Nathan Lee Graham, and Kate McKinnon. I also produced and wrote additional music for Winterland, an immersive experience at Atlanta’s Illuminarium.
I grew up in Minnesota where it’s cold and there are lots of lakes and nice people.
